Simon Pratt

Biography

Simon is an English baritone who has performed with opera companies including Northern Opera Group, Cardiff Opera, and Welsh National Opera. His credits include Der Vater ‘Hänsel under Gretel’ – Humperdinck and Marquis de la Force ‘Dialogues des Carmelites’ – Poulenc (RWCMD). He covered the role of George Benton in ‘Dead Man Walking’ – Jake Heggie (WNO).


Simon is also an experienced oratorio soloist having performed with choirs including Canton Chorus, Bridgend Tabernacl Choir, Clothworkers Consort of Leeds and Leeds Baroque in works including Requiem by Duruflè, Creation by Haydn, and Requiem by Mozart.


Simon is a graduate of the David Seligman Opera School where he studied with Adrian Thompson and Geoff Moses. While he was studying he was the recipient of the Adelina Patti Bel Canto Opera prize.
